a good reason to start jogging

More is definitely more.. I mean, the silver ones are cool, but these are more fun:
These are Jeremy Scott shoes by Adidas - it's strange to think that I actually want a pair of Adidas shoes, but maybe it's a sign, and I'm meant to be more sporty?

kittens

See, I made no jokes about hairless pussies in the title, I am definitely able to control myself. And this is important since a certain person's mother follows my blog now;)

We've had cats like these in my dad's cattery, they are weird to pet!

death by Oreo's

Daniela Edburg, Death by Oreo's, photography, 1975:

James Abbott McNeill Whistler, Portrait of the artist's mother, oil on canvas, 1871:

Daniela Edburg has more interesting photos on this theme, most of them are less gothic and more colourful (Miquette, do a google image search, as they're totally your style!).

I've been making fibre bangles

They have a rubber core, so they are soft and comfy to wear. I think they look great stacked, so I'll probably make more. They're just wrapped with yarn, so I think they should be very fast to make, but apparently thinking about making something is a lot faster than actually doing it..

I've decided I need to start photographing my crafts on more busy, colourful backgrounds. I'm not a tidy, minimalistic person, and my wardrobe (and bedroom!) is black.. so I don't see why I photographed my crafts on white backgrounds. I probably thought tidy white backgrounds was the ideal, like my crafts was made by someone else who was more professional than myself, and got featured in boring blogs written by people I have nothing in common with. But who am I kidding, it's just not my style, and I don't find it interesting.
I'm glad to have that out of the system, I'm sure I'll make much better stuff now, and have a more interesting shop once it opens again.
Isn't it weird that it's so hard to know if one is being true to oneself?

I'm guessing this is an ink drawing.

Why does this illustration scream "French" and "France" to me? Is anyone else getting that association, or is it just me?

Norway + winter = cold

Here are some photos I've taken this winter, it has been a super-cold and beautiful winter, and I kind of don't want it to end. It doesn't look like it's going to end either, as the lake is still frozen over.

My younger brother can't be bothered with trivial stuff like putting on a jacket:
Last year he tried some sort of an experiment where he tried to see if he could go all winter without wearing a jacket. The theory was that he would get used to it and stop noticing how cold it was. This winter I've seen him outside in shorts on several occasions, and the record(of, uh, weirdness) was when he helped push a car out of the snow, barefoot and only wearing his morning robe. What a Viking.

A random picture of the thermometer.. it has been even colder, brr:

We turned my older brother's barbecue into a lantern:

vintage tattoos

It's fun to see the expressions on their faces, they're totally full of attitude.

These photos reminds me of a lucid dream I had a while ago where I went back in time, like two hundred years ago. Everything was very realistic, and I was so excited. I tried to talk to some of the people I met, but they all just looked at me and scolded me as I wasn't dressed right and had piercings and all that, and I woke up before I was able to change the direction of the dream. How rubbish! And the most rubbish thing about it is that I'm sure that's what would have happened if I had gone back in time for real.

count kitteh

This photo is for my friend Kat to prove that cats doesn't have to be cutesy.

Ok, ok, so I admit it's cute, but it's not cutesy?
