psychic aceo

She sees the secrets with her water-eyes.

Pencil, marker and ink on watercolour paper. I love watercolour paper, it doesn't mind water at all.

phantasy landscape by Vernon Panton

If I had a massive house and lots of money, I would have a Vernon Panton designed room like this:

I think having a room like that would make me listen to a LOT of psy trance!! And also maybe get wasted all the time. It doesn't look like a productive kind of room.

old, tiny paintings of sleeping people

laroo asked me if i had done any miniature paintings, as she's having an exhibition at the moment with miniature art.. i LOVE anything miniature so of course i have! sooo i thought i'd post this picture of some of my mini paintings - even if they're really old. i made these when i went to art college and they got exhibited somewhere in sweden. they are all oil paintings on box canvas. i think it's hilarious that it's even possible to get so tiny box canvases - the sides are nearly as thick as the painted surface!

karma bracelet

i'm really into playing with beads at the moment. i go through periods of obsessing with stuff, and for now my obsession is beads. i love making multi strand bracelets as this one as then i get to use lots and LOTS of beads! mahaha! and besides, as we all know, more is more ;)

gothic paintings by caspar david friedrich

caspar david friedrich was a german painter who lived from 1774 to 1840. he was one of the most important painters in the german romantic landscape painting movement. i think his paintings seem strangely contemporary, in the way that they look like stills from horror films or kitsch goth clichés.. maybe i would have had an other impression if i had viewed them when they were made - at a time when there wasn't any horror films and goth clichés to associate them with? i still would have liked them though!

woo look at this, it's like something out of a horror film!:

some of his most important paintings are here at the national gallery in berlin! i haven't been there yet, but i'll definitely go.

fashion illustrations by laura laine

i like how these illustrations are dense with intricate thin lines.. just check out their hair. it's a cool effect. i keep forgetting that it's something i'd like to do more in my own work. i also like how the areas with lots of thin lines contrasts with the heavy black bits, niiice.

i like her drawings so much.. but mostly when they're more fairytaleish and not so much when there's too much fashion industry-style. not that i don't like fashion.. i guess it's "industry" i don't like.. but yeah, an artist needs to eat etc. and her illustrations are dark and well done and i love them in spite of the industry.

and talking about fashion industry and fashion style and illustrations and photography; what's up with the SLOUCH?? why is it fashionable to slouch? now i should be happy about it, as i find it hard to remember to sit up right.. but i count it as a bad habit and not something that directly adds to my sexiness? hmm.. i'll do a google image search and see if i can find some sexy slouch pictures.

the queen of corsets

cathie jung has worn a corset 24/7 since 1983, and only takes it off when she needs a shower. she now has a 38 cm (15 inch) waist. she is married to an orthopedic surgeon who claims she hasn't suffered any problems due to her waist reduction.
she's born in 1937. that makes her... 72 years old?? she's well fit for being 72!! i think i'll be in my soft comfy-trousers when i'm 72, though,.. wrapped up in a fluffy blanket on the sofa in all sorts of slouchy positions..

check this corset out; it's silver! or metal at least, but i think i remember it being silver:

wow. that's devotion!

desiree dolron

when i first saw desiree dolron's work, i wasn't sure if i was looking at painting or photography.
her work looks like paintings by the old masters, yet she is in fact a photographer.
she spends a lot of time re-touching and manipulating her photos digitally so as to match up with the visions in her head. some of the faces in the portraits are made using parts of several people's faces in order to get a perfect result. the result is breathtaking, magic, unreal.. and SO beautiful!

he he here we go again; underwater photography! i love it!!:

woo this photo looks like an old fairy tale illustration:
