forest house dream

I want to live in a house decorated like a forest, with green walls and lots of plants and little trees.

I think I deserve this tree bed by Shawn Lovell to get going with my pixie forest house, but it's more likely that I'll have to go out and get some trees, build a nest, get some spray paint etc and do some diy:

I also think I deserve this ghost tree coat rack by Erich Ginder, although with the right type of tree that wouldn't easily break off I could make that too:

I would also have to make mushroom stools like this one:

And massive grass rugs and cushions and allsorts in green fur like these rugs by pd design:

It would also be fun to build a frame and grow some proper grass indoor.

Or do something like Tokyo based designer (why is everything from Japan so dead cool?? ) Chiaki Murata of Metaphys, who has designed a product range of stackable grass planters.

I shall have to paint my fingers green, but first I need a house though.

pet hyena

this is 9,5 on the scale of cool. what an impressive pet. like the men of nigeria, i like hyenas.. there's something a little dark about them. like in the lion king (god what a shit film, and such annoying songs) they are mischievious creatures and a hundred times cooler than fucking goody two-shoes simba.
photographer pieter hugo has been documenting some nigerian men with their pet hyenas.

lori earley

lori earley's graceful alien looking long-neck beauties with sadness in their eyes, thinking about life and death and lost love and i don't know; it's nice that art can be pretty sometimes.

this last one is my absolute favourite. it's so cute it's giving me diabetes.

aya takano supercute movement

aya takano is a japanese pop artist, associated with the superflat movement and part of takashi muramaki's kaikai kiki art group. i think the superflat movement should be renamed to the supercute movement. much more fitting.

i like the title of this picture; on a moonlight night, their teeth paintet black

nose piercing

i've never seen one like this, although it's a little bit easier to spot from a distance than my little nose ring.

i found the photo on bmezine body art magazine.

toilet roll cover doll

i think it's important for a toilet roll cover doll that it has had it's dress crocheted by an old lady and is a bit worn out from it's life in an old lady's bathroom. this is my grandmother's toilet roll cover doll, it has all those qualities. it's perfect, and i want it so bad it hurts, but alas, what would my gran's bathroom be without it. in fact, every bathroom needs one. although i might need several as they're just too absolutely useless and quirky.

here you can see how it works with it's legs sticking out of the toilet roll hole. what an invention. i wonder who came to think of it first. note my grandmother's deoderant in the background, you can't see it too well but it's actually fluffy! it's got soft fluff fabric on it. old people's stuff is great!

ah, such toilet roll cover doll beauty!

twinkel girl

i found this person on myspace ages ago and was amazed at the pinkness! she calls herself twinkel and i think she's quite a character!

i also saved some of her strange little collages, they are proper pink fluffy hippie extremeness, i love them! i think it's what her soul must look like.

her myspace profile isn't as pink and fluffy any longer, but here it is.
